LaTeX Doctor helps users diagnose and fix LaTeX compile errors. We keep the product privacy-minimal by design.

What We Process

The extension may send compile logs and a small window of source text around an error to the configured backend. Account pages process email addresses, license keys, subscription state, device binding metadata, waitlist submissions, and support messages.

What We Avoid

We do not intentionally collect full papers, PDFs, figures, bibliography files, payment provider secrets, or user-owned API keys. Do not paste private documents into support messages.

How Data Is Used

Data is used to provide diagnostics, issue and verify licenses, enforce quotas and device limits, process checkout events, prevent abuse, and respond to support requests. Payment providers handle payment details on their own checkout pages.

Security And Retention

Provider secrets, admin actions, quota, billing, and device authority stay on the server. Operational data is retained only as needed for service operation, audit, abuse prevention, support, and legal obligations.
